ABOUT WHOLE LAMB
Our 100% grass-fed lamb is raised using holistic management practices that regenerate the land and improve ecosystem function.
When animals are harvested during the growing season, you get peak flavor to enjoy year-round from your freezer. It's also economical and keeps your dollars directly supporting local land stewardship. Plus, you can honor and enjoy the whole animal by reducing waste with a "nose-to-tail" experience.
Standard cuts:
- Chops
- Ribs
- Shank
- Roasts (leg and shoulder)
- Ground
- Stew meat
Half lamb shares cannot be customized for cuts. Whole lambs are 100% customizable -- we go over your custom cut sheet together.
Your whole lamb will take up approximately 2.5 cu ft of freezer space. Depends on your exact freezer but usually this fits in your standard home freezer. A chest freezer is a bonus for extra space (gotta fit that pork share too?).
PRICING
You are paying for the animal plus butcher fees at the USDA-inspected processor in this total price. It's different than your grocery store retail cut pricing and feeds your family for months!

Mark Your Calendar
Your animal share MUST be picked up on the date you select between 3pm and 5pm. A pick up time after 5pm on that same day can be arranged on an individual basis by email: longrootsranch@gmail.com.

Why fixed and strict dates?
We pick up the meat frozen from the USDA processor on those days and do not have space to store your meat. Your meat will be frozen solid and perfect for transport that day.
