ABOUT WHOLE LAMB
Our lamb is raised and finished on grass using holistic management practices that regenerate the land and improve ecosystem function.
Why purchase a whole or half sheep? When animals are harvested during the growing season, you get peak flavor to enjoy year-round from your freezer. You can honor and enjoy the whole animal by reducing waste and embracing a "nose-to-tail" experience.
Standard cuts:
- Leg of lamb
- Racks
- Loin chops
- Shoulder
- Stew meat
PRICING
You pay a deposit upfront that covers the animal processing cost and a portion of the meat cost. You pay the remaining amount at the time of pick-up when we know the actual weight of the animal you are receiving. The hanging weight of our sheep is between 50-65 lb, which results in about 35 lbs of packaged meat.
Here's an example breakdown for a 60 lb hanging weight:
- Meat cost: $9 per lb * 60 lb = $540
- Harvesting fee = $150
- Total: $690
- $300 deposit
- $390 paid at pick up
